Short drive to Lavasa city (“India’s first planned hill city”)
21:50:00
After a long time me and my friends (Tausif, Sandeep and Shantanu) planned for short ride to Lavasa city which is around 70km from Pimpri Chowk (Pune). We plan on 05th October 2013 (Saturday) and executed on 06th October 2013 (Sunday) with some of them missing who had some family work or had some different plan for the weekend.
So, finally the day arrived and we planned to meet at Pimpri Chowk and after refuelling the bike and refuelling our self with the breakfast ("Poha" a traditional Maharashtrian recipe) and after withdrawing money from ATM we hit the road toward Pune University and crossed Senapati Bapat road, Kothurd and reached the NH4 bypass at Chandani Chowk and head up towards the Paud road to reach Pirangut village.
Crossing the Lavasa security post the main twist and turns arrived and we followed them very well and reached above the dam and as the water level was much below the mark so we got the place for our photo shot.
Finally after crossing all the zigzag road of Temghar-Lavasa we reach into the city with the scenic beauty and well planned city on the beautiful Dasve Lake.
Now we will request the photos to explain the beauty surrounded by the Lavasa city.
A cute Photo took by Sandeep.
Here's a map for reference:
Best time to visit the place will be the summer for calm relaxation and rainy season to enjoy the waterfalls and beauty surrounding the expanse of the City.
We may definitely plan to visit in next rainy season to capture more scenic nature.
