Dudhsagar waterfalls – A place for nature lover and enthusiasts like us, it is the place situated in the middle of a forest on the Goa-Karnataka border. Dudhsagar railway station (upper part) can be access by train directly or trekking from Castle Rock or Kulem railway track. And the lower part of waterfall can be accessible through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, where forest department runs a SUV vehicle service through the sanctuary up to the foot of the Dudhsagar waterfalls. This service is closed during monsoon.

Tamhini Ghat and Mulshi Dam region is one the place which comes alive during monsoon. Almost everyone in Pune plan to visit it in monsoon. Kundalika valley came into my mind after searching for Andharban Trek (The Dark Forest) and I was told as it is a strange place with two huge mountain walls separated by a narrow valley.

Monsoon was on the peak and visiting Malshej Ghat in August is the ideal destination for rainy season. So on the weekend we hit the Mumbai-Pune Highway to enjoy the waterfall with the nature beauty. As visiting Shivneri fort along with Malshej Ghat is the best combination to spend a rainy day, so we picked this combination and start the journey from Pune.

After exploring North Goa we finally pre pounded the return journey date due to some family issues and started the bike trip from Goa (Mapusa city) to Pune at 5.15 am on 4th October 2014, which was too early but early morning is the best time to have a bike ride in fresh breeze.

After having a amazing bike riding from Pune to Goa, we started exploring North Goa as we had less time so priorities Chapora fort first and started riding in the narrow roads of Goa.
It was extremely amazing riding in Goa which remind me my stay in Kerala which had a same village construction and road are almost similar.

While journey on Pune-Bangalore or Pune-Ahmednagar Highway I always imagine how the windmills will be created and how it looks from close?
I search in google to find the place from where I can see the windmills very closely and found pictures and blogs of Chalkewadi windmill farm in Satara, which had a scenic view and decided to visit the place on bike at the earliest.
As the place is scenic in monsoon season along with the Thoseghar waterfalls and Sajjangad Fort, hence executed the ride in the mid of monsoon (in the month of August 2014).

After having a adventures bike ride Pune-AambyValley-Mulshi Dam-Pune last year in July 2013 via Tikona fort and Pawana Dam, we again got an opportunity to visit the scenic waterfalls of Tamhini Ghat on 09th August 2014, which was in the travel list from long time, but unfortunately we miss this time also due to the bridge work which stopped the people going towards Tamhini Ghat.
So we plan to visit the waterfalls near the boundary of Mulshi Dam backwater which is the first monsoon trip of 2014, this place did not disappointed us as it has scenic waterfalls and very few crowd as compare to Bhushi Dam in Lonavala.

After lot of planning and searching for adventures route to have a round trip from Pune-Aamby Valley-Mulshi Dam-Pune, I found a route which was unknown and mostly village road with dense forest and as it was the month of July it was raining heavy in some patches but the journey was simply awesome and unforgettable.
On 06th July 2013 I woke up at 7.30 am which stand too difficult but it became easy when u have an adventure plan in your mind.
So I started the journey with a different route other than Google map on my phone and started towards Bangalore Highway at Katraj and drive till Dehu Road and cross the Express Highway at Talegaon and reach the misty road which are amazing in rainy season.

After Parandwadi a small village the road was narrow but the surrounding nature is simply awesome and the road till Tikona fort(near Pawana Dam) are well maintained but some time busy with some tucks and big vehicles.
