Breakfast ride to Baneshwar waterfall and Bhatghar Dam Backwater
22:06:00
Baneshwar waterfalls was suggested by many friend in rainy season but any how we missed it in this rainy season, so we thought we would visit "Baneshwar Van Udhyan" and have a round breakfast ride along side of Bhatghar Dam backwaters.
We started around 8 am and took old Katraj tunnel on NH4 Bangalore Highway. Baneshwar is just an hour journey which is around 45 Kms from Pune towards Satara.
Here's a ride map for reference:
As soon as we entered the Baneshwar Garden gate, we heard a lot of chirps of many birds like mynas, sunbirds, black drongo and flycatchers. There is ample parking space on the right and Baneshwar temple on the left. We took our tickets and started on the right trails which was quite attracting. You will find many boards of common bird species of India.
There are multiple trails which will make you feel that you are closer to nature. And many wooden benches put up to relax and unwind the nature.

We took the trails which go towards "Nisarg Nirvikshan Kendra" and Rock Garden.
Later after enjoying few snacks outside the main gate of Baneshwar temple we started our journey towards Bhatghar Dam backwater, which was in my remote roads list from a long time. The road condition was not that good but the views of Bhatghar Dam was really great, which remind me about my past trip to Aamby valley and Mulshi Dam. It passes through villages and green lush fields which attract us to move ahead. There were ample open space for relaxing on the backwaters.
After reaching the remote village Dere and Khulshi we head back home by taking the road of Madhe Ghat (Rajgad fort road) and reached home by 4 PM.

We walked further towards the open place which go towards the waterfall and surprisingly witness the waterfall in the month of October. It was the best place to spend a morning close to nature.
