Ahupe Waterfall & Dimbhe Dam Backwaters near Bhimashankar wildlife Reserve

Let me start this post with the very true line…
“The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready.” – Henry David Thoreau
Ahupe is one of the isolated and scenic village in Ambegaon Taluka in Pune District of Maharashtra State, India. It is around 140 Km from Pune City.
It is the pleasant monsoon (August 2016) but I am still finding someone who can join me for a bike ride. And finally as usual I started solo ride all the way from Pune to Ahupe waterfalls.
Google maps to ride to Ahupe from Pune:
I started from Kondhwa (Pune) around 8 AM and started the journey on Nashik highway from Kasarwadi flyover, in an hour reached Chakan then crossed Rajgurunagar and took the left turn in the Peth village towards Ghodegaon peth road.
This is the same road which leads to Bhimashakar temple from the base village Dimbhe Khurd, if you turn to left will reach Bhimashankar and on the right we have the beautiful road which takes you to the base wall of Dimbhe dam. As you climb on the back side of the dam you enter into the most scenic and beautiful road with backwater on left and nature trail on the right.
Ahupe waterfall is the remote place towards Bhimashankar wildlife Reserve. On the way we get the beautiful view of Dimbhe Dam backwater which is a must ride road in monsoon for all the biker in Pune.
Below are few photos which explain the nature in better way:
