I visted Delhi for the first time and got the best opportunity to visit most of the Historical places in Delhi with the help of Hop On Hop Off - HOHO Sightseeing Bus Service.
Humayun Tomb is the beautiful monument constructed in 1569-1572 for the second Mughal emperor Humayun by his first wife, Bega Begum (also known as Hamida Banu Begum). It is a first tomb surrounded by symmetrically gardens called ‘char-bagh’ or ‘four-gardens’ in the Indian Subcontinent by the Mughals.
The Mughal kings built many beautiful monuments all over India, ideally built by them for their wives or by the wives for their husbands. Mirak Mirza Ghiyath was the architect for the beautiful Humayun's Tomb. The whole construction took a cost of 1.5 million rupees at that time.
Humayun's Tomb is entirely of red sandstone and white marble. The tomb is a complex with several buildings- Humayun's tomb, Tomb of Isa Khan, Mosque of Isa Khan, Bu Halima (a large garden), Arab Sarai, Tomb of Babar.
