Scenic monsoon bike ride to Malshej Ghat

Monsoon was on the peak and visiting Malshej Ghat in August is the ideal destination for rainy season. So on the weekend we hit the Mumbai-Pune Highway to enjoy the waterfall with the nature beauty. As visiting Shivneri fort along with Malshej Ghat is the best combination to spend a rainy day, so we picked this combination and start the journey from Pune.

We started at 7 in the morning and quickly reached Pune-Nashik highway due to less traffic on the weekend. We had a quick breakfast at a roadside dhaba and then drove further to reach Shivneri fort at 10am. It took around 2 hours to enjoy the scenic walk to the birth place of Shivaji Maharaj.

Later we moved on towards Malshej Ghat and stopped at whopping beauty of Pimplegoan Lake.
