Katraj Rajiv Gandhi Zoo and Snake Park

Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park is one of the most attractive park in Katraj near Pune city, which has a wide variety of reptiles, mammals and few birds. 

The snake park has a large collection of snakes, reptiles, birds and turtles. It also has a white tiger which is one of the most attractive part of the zoo.

This is the best place if you want to spend time with family, but weekend is too crowded. Below are some of my pictures of the recent weekend family trip.

How to reach Katraj snake park: If you are travelling from Pune city or Pimpri - Chinchwad then the best landmark is Swargate chowk, from where you can follow Satara road and reach Katraj (near Bharati Vidyapeeth campus).

Park has a beautiful surface runoff in monsoon which is most attractive and scenic part in the middle of the zoo which bring more happiness for the children's.







It required almost 2 Km walk which is too scenic, alternately you can choose Electric vehicle which takes 10 or 12 person and stop on all view point for few minute and charge 30rs per head. I think having a walk is much better than a vehicle.
