Shrivardhan Beach – A Tranquil beach of the Konkan Coast

Shrivardhan beach of Raigad district is one of the best and clean beach located along the Arabian Sea coastline beginning from Dighi village in the north to Harihareshwar village in the south. We missed out this place in our last visit to Diveagar in winter due to lack of time. So this time Shriwardhan beach was on high priority than Diveagar beach and Harihareshwar beach.

We started our journey from Pune on bike via Mulshi Dam => Tamhini ghat => Mangaon =>Mashala and reach Diveagar, drop our luggage at home-stay and started for Harihareshwar beach. After visiting the famous Pradakshina Marg near the Harihareshwar temple, we left for Shriwardhan beach which come between Harihareshwar and Diveagar beach.

Do not get confuse between Shrivardhan Fort and Shrivardhan beach. These are two different places, Shrivardhan beach is in the konkan area and Shrivardhan fort near Rajmachi located in Karjat near Lonavala.

Shrivardhan is a beach about 2 km long with black smooth sands. It has a long boardwalk with seating facility, which is kept clean and also lighted at night. The water is very clean and less crowd as compare to Diveagar beach.
