Karde Murud and Harnai beach
20:53:00
Our destination on this trip includes beautiful Ladghar Beach, along with Karde, Murud, Palande and Harnai Beaches with the scenic coastal ride for a 2 day weekend trip from Pune. This blog is a photo log of the Karde/Murud village on the sea coast along with Harnai beach and fish market.
Karde beach is one of the calm, scenic and romantic beach on the Konkan coast (north of Dapoli) which is a must visit beach if you are staying in Pune, Mumbai and Kolhapur. The water is calm, clean sand and the beach is quite too long.
Murud has a lot of beach restaurants which serves veg food and delicious fresh seafood on order. Karde doesn’t have any restaurant on the beach. Beach is safe to swim and you can see white and brown sand patches on the beach. Murud Beach is pretty famous among the tourist and has plenty of beach sports like Dirt biking, Parasailing, Banana/Bumper ride and many more.
Palande beach is just ahead of Murud beach but due to lack of time is ignored this beach and moved towards the north for fishing village of Harnai.

The distance between Karde and Murud is hardly 6 km. Both
villages share same coastal line so you can take a long walk on the beach towards
Murud.

Harnai beach is a tourist destination known for its serenity with an extended rocky coast and clean black sand. It is the best weekend gateway for residents of Mumbai and Pune, as it is just within the range of 200 kms. The beach belongs to the small town called Murud Harnai, which in turn belongs to the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
Harne port is famous for the fish auction which happens twice a day and it is assumed to be one of the largest suppliers of fish to Maharashtra and it also Export. Famous Fish beach market carried on a daily basis in morning & in the evening. Also, there are three forts/structures next to each other worth a visit along with the Suvarnadurg island fort.
While going to beach we took the route from Mahabaleshwar and Kashedi Ghat, so while returned we planned to take the Varandha Ghat route to witness the scenic sunset from Varandha Ghat. Varandha Ghat is the must visit place and most scenic place of Maharashtra in Monsoon.

There are plenty of options to stay on all of this beaches. We stayed in Sagar Hill Hotel on Karde beach and Hotel Sea Land at Ladghar beach. Visit my Hotel Review blogs for more information.
Best Time to Visit
Anywhere between October and March, soon after the monsoon ends would be the most ideal time to visit all the beaches in Dapoli. You can expect the perfect weather that’s pleasantly cool during this period.
