Venna Lake - A Gem of Mahabaleshwar & Foodie's Delight, Mapro Garden

Venna Lake is one of the most attractive and popular tourist spot of Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra state in India. The lake was constructed by Shri Appasaheb Maharaj, who was the king of Satara in the year 1842. Venna Lake is around 2 km from Mahabaleshwar city market and ST Bus stand; you can either take auto or make a nice walk during the day.
The lake is surrounded by trees on all side with serene and beautiful atmosphere. Tourists can enjoy a boat ride over the lake or a horse ride next to the lake. It is famous spot for activities like fishing and boating. There are pedal boats which you can take or hire a person to experience boating in the lake. The water of the lake is very clean and one will surely enjoy the boat ride.
Along the lake side there are many small eateries serving delicious street food and other refreshment drinks which one would certainly love to have while on an evening stroll alongside the lake. Also there are some eateries that promote the local farm products of Mahabaleshwar like Corn or Bhutta, Strawberry, berry and carrots.
The sight of colorful boats all over the lake is a treat for the eyes and it is an ideal place to click some great photographs of nature. Venna Lake is the best place to spend quality time relaxing in the nature.
Mapro Gardens is a wonderful place, where you can easily relax for 2-4 hours and take photography's. It is a wonderful place and must visit, when you are travelling to Mahabaleshwar.
