17:06:00
Mahabaleshwar is a fabulous hill station settled in the lap of magnificent Western Ghats of Maharashtra. Often referred as the queen of hill stations in Maharashtra, this pristine hill station is graced with charming view of hills, mystical landscapes, flourishing plantations, scenic waterfalls, lush green forests and exotic wildlife.
Visited Mahabaleshwar multiple times but missed the Sydney point all the time, so for this road trip we planned Sydney point as the first spot after travelling from Pune. The location offers a breathtaking view of the valley and the breeze on the edge of the point is very soothing and relaxing.
Sydney Point is located around 2 km from Panchgani Bus Stand; it is one of the famous viewpoints in Panchgani Hill Station in Satara District of Maharashtra. It can be visited during your way to Mahabaleshwar Hill Station.
Sydney Point is famous for providing charming views of the Krishna Valley, the picturesque view of the Dhom Dam, Kamalgad Fort and the city of Wai. It is a short climb from the main road and the plus point for Sydney point is that it offers the view of the Panchgani town from the top which is really beautiful.
Parse Point is the scenic point situated on the way to Mahabaleshwar at the entrance of Panchgani town. It offers spectacular views of the mountains, Panchgani Table land, lush green Krishna Valley and crystal sky-blue waters of the Dhom Dam. This popular picnic spot of Mahabaleshwar got its name from the fact that in earlier days, it was a favorite spot of the Parsi Community. You can enjoy a fun-filled day with your family, simply sit back and enjoy the mesmerizing view. There is small entry and parking fee at the entrance of the view point.
