Bike ride Pune-Kaas-Bamnoli-Mahabaleshwar-Pune

Post monsoon is the best time for bike trip in Sahyadri Mountain and travelling in dense forest to capture some scenic places, hence planned for a bike ride to Kaas Plateau in the morning and traveled up to Mahabaleshwar by evening.

We had plan for Kaas Pathar in morning and dive till Kaas Lake but as Kaas plateau was not as scenic as we expected so we try to move forwarded on the road to Bamnoli bloat club, the road towards Bamnoli are charming and too scenic where you have to travel all the way along on the border of Shivsagar Lake.
Shivsagar Lake is form by Koyna river and it has many tourist place like Tapola (Mini Kashmir of Maharashtra), Vasota Fort, Nageshwar Temple and Bamnoli village.

Kas Lake is the around 23 Km from Satara and it the beautiful lake situated inside the scenic nature and the roads have splendid view of nature all around.

The road is not at all confusing as it appear from Google maps expect one turn near Kambil Pokale (zoom google maps) village was confusing but local person helped out to find road towards Tapola village.

Overall this route is the must ride if you are biker in Pune or Mumbai or want to drive in the nature beauty of Maharashtra hills.

This was the most amazing and dense forest ride of 350 Km which I always imagine to have in past, mostly the region between Kaas Lake - Bamnoli Boating Club- Mahabaleshwar was the scenic and it is must ride road in Maharashtra.

After visiting the Bamnoli village we plan to drive back to
Pune from different route which I always do and after consulting some local
persons we came to know only 2 or 3 Km road is in bad condition and rest of the
road is newly created.
As this road if full of dense forest, it was always in my
mind but as Google map show it in thin lines so I always ignore this road
between Bamnoli to Mahabaleshwar via Tapola village.
Finally we decided to
cover this road as it was only 3 PM and we had lot of time remaining for Sunset
and in few hours we reached Mahabaleshwar (Mapro Garden) which is best place
for yummy sandwich and ice-cream.
Now will let the picture speak up the scenery around the border of the Shivsagar Lake via Bamnoli-Tapola-Mahabaleshwar road.
