Katraj Lake - a unfamiliar Lake for bird watching

After searching a place for photography I picked up "Rajiv Gandhi Katraj Zoo" but unfortunately the zoo is closed on Wednesday, so after searching on Google map I found a small lake next to Katraj Zoo which is also called as Katraj Lake (Katraj Talav or Peshwa's Katraj Lake) and was surprised to see the Lake in beautiful and innovative look which is developed and decorated by Pune Municipal Corporation.
Now a day this lake is the prime attraction at Katraj which is 10 km away from Pune city.
I found migrated birds as Grey Heron, Spotbill Duck and Cormorants.
Really I had wonderful time, Thanks to Pune Municipal Corporation for such a beautiful initiative which will definitely make Pune a Beautiful and scenic place to live.
If you are will to plan for a bird watching or relax walk around the lake then best time for bird watching will be month of December, January and February and all time for relax and scenic walk.
This is the best place to be visit near Pune after Katraj zoo.
