Migratory bird watching at Bhigwan - Simply amazing experience
03:44:00
Bhigwan is the small village located on the border of Pune and Solapur district on National Highway 9 in Maharashtra, India. Bhigwan is located on the backwaters of Ujni dam in Yashwant Sagar reservoir which is best place to watch the migratory bird near Pune.
The distance between Pune city to Bhigwan is 105 Km and one can travel by various means as State Transport Bus going towards Solapur in 3.5 hour, by passenger train heading towards Solapur but both the means are not convenient so my suggestion will be the personal transport as bike, car or cab.
So on 17th December 2013 me and my friend decided to go for bird watching at Bhigwan (Kumbhargaon) and started at 6 am in the morning an managed to reach at 7.30 am, which was the amazing experience of driving the bike in the freeze weather of 8-9 degree Celsius on the amazing road I have ever seen before which made our day.

We do not find any flamingos as they are yet to arrive (best time is Jan - Feb) we will again plan the same visit in the month of February to see the Great Flamingo.
