Zakir Hussain Rose Garden of Chandigarh

Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is one of the must visit place of Chandigarh, India and it is Asia’s largest rose garden. On our last visit to Chandigarh we had a delightful opportunity to visit this Rose Garden, which is established in 1967 and located at sector 16 of Chandigarh.
This famous botanical garden was named after the 3rd president of the India, Dr Zakir Hussian. There are around 50,000 rose plants with 1600 species which is spread over 46 acres land and it is planted beautifully on the carved and well-arranged lawns.
It was the joyful experience walking around the lawns to view these beautiful flowers.
Best time to visit this place is February to March, by this time all the plants are in full bloom and you can enjoy the beauty of colorful flowers of all the varieties and cheeping of birds all around.
