Bannerghatta National Park is a popular tourist destination and around 22km from Bengaluru. It was our second day destination of our weekend trip to Bangalore. We woke up around 8AM and started the journey by local bus after having breakfast at Madiwala. We switched few buses from Madiwala to Bannerghatta via BTM Layout.

Cubbon Park was our first place to visit on our weekend trip to Bangalore, it is situated within the heart of the Bangalore city in the Central Administrative Area and it is named after Sir Mark Cubbon who laid the park. It is just opposite to Chinnaswamy Stadium and there is a road inside the park which connects to Government Museum on the other end and it is known as “Queens Road”.

Traveling to Bangalore was in our mind from a long time after getting married. And thanks to SBI Bank which has a strict rule to visit the home branch to close your account, hence we got the chance to visit Bengaluru again after almost 5 years. Also this trip was interesting as we were taking a 7 month old son along with us for such a long distance for the first time.

Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace is a unique palace entirely
built using teak wood and is an example of the Indo-Islamic architecture. The Islamic
touch of the beautiful arches and Indian style of the brackets around the
pillars are notable.
